We’re currently living in an exceedingly post Synder’s Cut – properly acknowledged on HBO Max as Zack Synder’s Justice League – world, a progress in film that’s undoubtedly still stunning to some fans. The four-hour lengthy film is filled with more and more surprises. The thing which is not a surprise is that Zack Synder’s Justice League is filled with fun and joy.

In the Four-hour long movie, there are many geeky Easter eggs and references the fans have pointed when the movie first came out. Zack Synder’s Justice League is an expanded version of the original Justice League that came in theatre four years ago.

Backstory, of superhero film legend. Director Zack Snyder fought a lot making Justice League, and give life to superhero characters from DC Comics.

In early 2017, when Snyder’s daughter died, the director left the production of Justice League and let Joss Whedon take over who is the director of Marvel’s first two Avengers movies.

The film lost many millions for Warner Bros with a flood of awful reviews. But the loyal fans and some stars from the film kept their believe on the film and convinced Warner Media that releasing Snyder’s Justice League would bring a superhero event to its real place, The HBO Max.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League, brings an entirely different story, different beginning, different ending and broader scope, to give a glimpse of the larger story. Most theatrical release contain the movie’s best scenes, irrespective of what else gets tossed in through a director’s cut.

It makes sense to make a movie because of the fans would passionately work so hard to gratify them. Snyder’s take is an R-rated version. We can see blood and violence than any typical big-budget superhero movies. The major villain of Justice League Steppenwolf, can be seen as a deadlier, less human look, and his mission to prepare Earth for Darkseid’s conquest. Expanded backstories on Ezra Miller’s Flash and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg can also be seen. And, of course, there’s a newly filmed conclusion that rests toward the story of the Injustice graphic novel series. I won’t give any more spoilers go and unlock all the surprises on your own.

There are some problems here, too. This new Justice League is still packed with a lot of computerized effects which make the action feel unreal.

The important story — a group of misfit heroes must team up together to defeat a world- Just as stopping Steppenwolf to finding every single Easter egg is too much of a task for Batman to do it alone or, any one person to do by themselves he has to ask for help to complete the task. Introduction

The Housemaid is a remarkably powerful movie which combines elements of horror, family ethics, and criticism of social reality. Watching this unique movie made me think about the development of family narrative as it pays attention to numerous Korean social issues prevalent in the past times. From the colonial period to rapid economic growth after the Korean war, from a patriarchal society to democratic society (in spite of gender or distinctive roles of family members), I realized that prestige is the unchangeable core in forming a normative modern family.

Characters

The setting of characters in the movie The housemaid, is apparent from the beginning and each person plays a unique and significant role. The straightforwardness of every character represents an element which links them with each other to make compounds; one to one relationships and conflicts; in order to create a mixture that reflects a microcosm of a basic normative type of modern family in Korea. Rather than using a side to introduce each person at this two-storey house, the director shares a detailed view of Kyung-hee Cho, a factory worker to walk audiences into this family. The younger brother is eating snacks alone on the stairs meanwhile trying to piss off his disabled sister. Dong-Sik Kim, the father, tells him not to bully his sister. The little brother, Chang-soon, lies to his sister, Ae-soon, that there is a rat behind her after which she falls down the stairs. When Chang-soon was punished by his father, he gets ‘always obey your father’ by asking for help from his mother.  This brief scene can allow the audience to understand that Chang-soon is an annoying, uncultured kid. On the other hand, Ae-soon suffers from inferiority complex but possesses high self-esteem. Dong-Sik Kim seems like a kind and soft obedient wife yet secretly manipulates her husband to satisfy her middle-class fantasies such as a two-storey house, helpmate, and television. The husband teaches music lessons at the factory and also renders services as a private piano instructor to keep his middle-class family running. This family structure already shows shortcomings at the beginning of the film. Dong-Sik wants to be a good father, respected teacher, and thoughtful husband. Unfortunately, things do not turn out the way he wants. His raw desires fail him ultimately leading to tragic circumstances.

Social Status of Women

In the 1960s, an important transition in Korean society occurred whereby it transformed from a Confucian society to a modern society reflecting “intersections of patriarchy, colonialism, nationalism, and western modernity” (Choi 22). Before, the men were considered inviolable. On the other hand, women were compelled to play the subordinate role. In the process of transition, the social status of women increased gradually whereas the men began to face a dilemma ultimately becoming confused and lost. In the beginning of the 1960s, the new modern family structure started shifting to the wife-centered nuclear family. Dong-Sik Kim has always been a ‘mute’ in The Housemaid even though he is the main breadwinner of the family. This soft and powerless character does not make any decisions at all. In the film, women are the influencers in charging of plots development such as the maid finding out about her pregnancy, the housewife poisoning the maid, two female workers expressing their love, and even the disabled daughter starting the fight back.

Prestige, Theme of The Housemaid

This is a typically paranoid and hypocrite middle class which is caused by the insecure feelings of ‘Are we going to return to the war situation?’ and directly linked with the Korean War. People finally distracted their attention from the whole nation to the individual after the Korean War. At the end of the colonial period, the phenomenon of class distinction increased rapidly. Almost 83% of the population defined themselves as middle class. How do people distinguish classes and what kind of standards people have to meet in order to be a part of modern social status? Here comes the ultimate answer: prestige.

Plot of the Movie

At the beginning of the film The Housemaid, the husband received a love letter from one of his students in the piano class. He handed in this letter directly leading to the death of the worker. As a musician, he does not express any benevolent emotions at this point. There might be rumors by a rare chance to influence his reputation in his workplace and affect family relationships. Even though Dong-Sik cried out loud after the funeral, his confession and his guilty feelings originate from fear of losing his job and his gentle figuration. The maintenance of the respect as a middle-class individual is the most important thing to him. When the maid threatens him that she is going to tell everyone what he did, Dong-Sik even choked her almost to the death so as to keep his elegant prestige – under the Beethoven’s sculpture. The relationship between Kyung-hee Cho and Dong-Sik is more twisted to reach to a higher level. Their connection is indeed due to the money. Even emotionally and morally unwilling to do so, the husband has to maintain this teacher-student relationship because of the financial benefits. Piano and music did not matter as they just symbolized the elegant modernism lifestyle of the middle class. The music teacher is also the high-fashioned figure of the fantasy to the women worker. Learning piano is just a way to transfer the love into the action in order to satisfy her desire to gain the prestige of being a member of the middle class. Learning and teaching the piano becomes an excuse which has nothing to do with the music itself.

The maid Myung-sook

The maid Myung-sook is a country girl who is introduced by Kyung-hee in The Housemaid and comes to this seemingly stable middle-class home. Like the falling of the factory which represents the lowest class level back at that time period, the maid raises her desire of the brand new reputation — to become a middle-class housewife. I think the significant symbol of rat represents the maid. The way she always sticks out her tongue and licks her lips and the flashy eyes clearly suggest that she is the big rat that will end the peace. Ironically, the rat poison has become the weapon of the maid that she uses as a shield. She uses poison to threaten kids for the ravages of her own missing kids. The maid is afraid that the wife will kill so changes the bitterness to sweetness to taste out difference of the soup. The ‘rat’ manipulates the whole family and uses the inversion of the rat poison as a perfect match to her ambition. This character has her little habits such as smoking, rubbing her fingers, and sticking out her tongue signifying her distinguished personality. She does not want to earn prestige from the outside world. When she loses her unborn baby, the revenge pushes her to gain the prestige from the mentioned family.

Role of the Maid

The maid does not seduce the husband by showing off her beauty. The success of the maid is that she knew the weakness of the couple– the prestige that they already fight about and worked on for years. She played on their most vulnerable point — losing the nonexistent reputation. Why did the maid show such an obsession with her unborn baby? “The desire of the few early Korean feminists to pursue selfhood as a sacred domain sharply contrasted the feminine virtue of “good wife and wise mother” in the modern family that the majority of “new women” endorsed as a safe haven” (Choi 22) made them unique. She knew that the offspring could bring her the prestige of this family making it possible for her to replace the housewife and own kinship connection with this family which she considered as the higher class. Repetition of calling Dong-Sik as husband is also an unconscious way to enhance the prestige in this family.

Role of the Wife

In my opinion, both the wife and the maid are same in character. Once the wife has successfully lived in the upper class, she will pay any cost to defend her dream. In the film, the director shows the western-style doll several times, new decoration of the house, and the needs of a maid. He also highlights the purchase of the TV set at home even if she never watched it. The wife does not matter if she is a servant. She must keep her family perfect and together.  She can lend her husband to the maid and her son can die without a name. This family has no family ethics. Family ethics and social morality are just external public opinions. Under the struggle of inner desires, people have already broken through the restriction layer. A bottle of rat poison – everyone has the motivation to use it. When the identity cannot be reversed and the desire of prestige cannot be satisfied, there is only one way to choose — the death; instead of returning to the original living state of the lower class. The society not only kills the poor but also forces the rich to die.

End of the Housemaid

No one gets what he/she wants. At the end of the scene, the daughter is the only survivor of this family. When considered, the entire family demonstrated dysfunctional attitude instead of the disabled daughter who always adhere to her principles and has the courage to fight back. In the film the Housemaid, she was daring enough to rebel and steals the rat poison (hidden by the maid). Finally, in the background of her father’s fall, she sleeps peacefully with a bright future. She is a real middle class member when she was born.

African masks are considered among the most renowned and admired form of art in African continent. These masks reflect inherent forms and ideas thereby making them extremely relevant in African culture (Art.com). The creativity of African masks is self-apparent considering that they portray the mainstream cultures of this unique society. However, these masks have a profound meaning for those who make them. In other words, the form of the mask is a physical mechanism to commence change whereby the person who wears it assumes another entity. This act eventually enables him to influence the spirits to whom he offers his gratitude or attraction. African masks are significant since they express a high level of spirituality. This essay discusses the history, visual features, importance, meaning, and use of African masks as a form of art.

Cultural Importance of Masks

Cultures in most African communities depict the struggle of human beings to harmonize through customary festivals. People wear masks to be connected to their gods. Magic is among the various elements that complete the society in the model of Parrinder. Different African societies wear different masks to exemplify distinct gods and spirits. For instance, a mask in Central Africa would be different from the masks drawn from West Africa. According to the Art.com, the African masks yielded several powers on the people. The masks evoke dignity and integrity. They are mainly composed of formal symmetrical arrangements of form, shapes, and lines in figures. The texture involves expert craftsmanship, finished quality, and fine details symbolizing the tribal art in Africa. They also have extremely refined surfaces along with signifying a youthful healthy skin. In the modern-day Nigerian museums, the masks show different generational skills in arts to exemplify the African traditional beliefs in spirits. Origins of the African Masks

The origins of the African mask date back long before documented history. African mask in the Sahara in Niger has carvings that are almost 6000 years old. Alongside Sub-Sahara Africa, the cultural arts in the west, antique artifacts, paintings in Egypt, and southern skills also contributed significantly to the progression and development of art in Africa (Rupert 129). Often portraying the surrounding nature, the sculpture was usually abstract translations of plant life, animals, or natural shapes and designs. The Kush kingdom of Nubian in contemporary Sudan was in a close yet hostile contact with Egypt. They generated monumental art mostly derivative in forms. In West Africa, the initially recognized paintings are from the Nok culture which flourished between 500 BC and 500 AD in present Nigeria. These clay figures were normally designed using angular shapes and elongated bodies.  Although mundane, these shapes created a benchmark for future prosperity in the African arts and architecture.

Complex Approaches in 10^th Century

More complex approaches in generating art were established in Sub-Saharan Africa in the 10^th century. Among the most prominent developments were brass castings, the metalwork, the terracottas of IIe Ife Bronze, and the bronze work of Igbo Ukwu. These were typically decorated with valuable stones and ivory and were highly esteemed in most West African countries. The African masks were, at times, being restricted to the work of court artisans and recognized with royalty, just like the Benin Bronzes.

Beliefs Related to the Masks

Masks are typically worn by men. They are utilized to invite the spirits of their ancestors to take part in festivals such as weddings, births, funerals, naming, and initiations. The spiritual link conveyed by putting on masks during the events is crucial because it satisfies the order in society. Masks have specific importance in the cultural customs of Africa’s Yoruba tribe (Ola 17). These masks are also used for burial and religious ceremonies. In addition, they are used during a dance known as Dama. The individuals believe that Dama dance forms a bridge into the peace. The religious customs witnessed by the African people assist to link them with the gods.

Artists in Africa use their creativity and skill to integrate different meanings and concepts into the work of art. Different Meanings and Concepts

As mentioned earlier, African artists use their creativity and expertise to integrate different meanings and concepts into their work of art. This is observed in making of masks; a father passes it on to his son together with the understanding of the symbolic meanings conveyed through the masks. The continuity of making masks in African culture shows that Africans are individuals who revere their culture and make all endeavors to uphold it for future generations.

Hence, museum art counteracts the view that Africans are uncultured and primitive. The attractive art displayed is an example of the craftsmanship and proficiency needed to form a great piece of art.

The texture and facial expressions show the meaning of different art pieces. Head monuments are stretched out representing head as the core of thoughts, feelings, and character. On the same note, the generational designs of these masks spurred earlier civilization in the African culture. For instance, artists were specially ordained with the mandate of designing the masks. They were generally respected in society thereby experiencing the first tag as the community professionals. In some contexts, the artists organized special training ultimately generating a massive influx of people to the centers wherein such practices were thriving.

In a nutshell, the African mask is one element of arts that triggered generational changes in society. Similarly, other areas of African architecture grew from the influence of mask-making.

The Museum Demonstration

The museum demonstrates that the people of Kuba own a mask – Ngady a Mwaash. People wear this mask to respect the King of Kuba and to promote the women’s role of culture in the society. In most cases, the mask is worn by a participant or a dancer in rituals (Rule 140). Some forms of masks are put on by both genders. Generally, masks are inclined to signify beings or spirits significant to the ceremony where the mask is utilized. The person who wears the mask is typically believed to be capable of communicating with the being represented by it. Also, the wearer is believed to be possessed by what or who is represented by the mask.

Religious and Social Importance

In African cultures, masks are not ornaments or playthings. They serve a significant role in ceremonie and different events to guarantee a good harvest. They also address the demands of a tribe in moments of combat or peace, or convey presence of spirits in burial rituals or initiation ceremonies. Other masks signify totem animals – significant creatures to a specific group or family. In specific cultures such as Zaire’s Kuba culture, masks symbolize particular figures in the mythology of tribe such as a king or a competitor to the monarch. Since each mask has a particular spiritual meaning, majority of traditions make up various traditional masks. For example, the religion of tradition of the Dogon individuals in Mali makes up three major cults.

African masks are created by tribes and cultures discovered all over the massive continent of Africa. Both women and men have used them for thousands of years for religious, social, and cultural purposes. I was inspired by the fact that these masks connected people to their gods. By wearing these masks, people connected to the spiritual world to address their issues to these gods. This was also a form of connectedness to these spirits. Furthermore, it was interesting to note that the wearer was believed to be possessed by what or who is represented by the mask. This is supported by the fact that the wearer of the mask may be given the mask of a specific prominent figure in the society.

Introduction

The American Muslim fashion scene gradually changed due to modernization that led to changes in the way different articles of clothing are worn. In this paper, hijab is the main clothing article that will be the focus of discussion is the hijab. In the previous times, the hijab was meant to protect the women by covering their entire bodies. It also made a fashion statement and offered a sense of identity to the Muslim women. However, hijab is perceived differently by some American Muslims. Those changes advocated for women rights ultimately playing a greater role in making the women wear hijab at their own will. Women may also wear hijab to accessorize themselves; as scarves, on the head, or on the shoulders. It indicates that the previous stereotypes concerning the women clothing have now become outdated as they now have freedom to decide what to wear. Thus, the American Muslim concept of fashion has gradually changed regarding the hijab ultimately enabling women to make a choice in what they wear; hence, building their confidence.

Interpretations of the Hijab

There are differences in interpretations of the hijab. The gradual abolition of the hijab by American Muslims is due to the stereotypes that people usually associate with it. It is believed that women show their submission by putting on such clothing as “the general stereotype associated with hijab is seclusion of Muslim women and restricting them from leading an independent life separates them from their male relatives”. In the present times, people take the hijab as a sense of power for the women. The change in thoughts and opinions concerning the hijab has empowered women to feel more secure and confident in what they do as demonstrated by the way women put on the coverings. As opposed to the traditional beliefs that women had to cover their whole bodies to show respect to themselves, modern American Muslim women put on the garment as scarves as accessories.

Concept of Hijab

The concept of hijab has changed due to various factors. To begin with, modernized American women have embraced the idea of women rights covering aspects of dressing among others. The rights include granting women the freedom of deciding whether or not they want to put on the hijab. Furthermore, the fashion perspective is also considered to have influenced the changes in hijab for women. In both the traditional and the contemporary ways of wearing hijab, an important fashion statement is made. There are also political perspectives of hijab. Several studies have indicated that hijab represents the political position of the women and their society in general. Hence, the perspectives of wearing hijab for women also involve making a fashion statement.

Conclusion

The changes in American Muslim fashion are most evident while discussing the concept of women’s hijab which has been effective in boosting their confidence. The stereotypes have been abandoned that were associated with this clothing style. Thus, American Muslim clothing has undergone a significant change.

April 9, 2021 – Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, has died aged 99, Buckingham Palace has announced.

A statement issued by the palace just after midday spoke of the Queen’s “deep sorrow” following his death at Windsor Castle on Friday morning.

The Duke of Edinburgh, the longest-serving royal consort in British history, was at the Queen’s side for quite her six decades of reign.

Boris Johnson said he “inspired the lives of countless young people”.

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband,” the palace said.

“The royalty join with people round the world in mourning his loss.”

Speaking at Downing Street, the prime minister said that the duke had “earned the love of generations here within the uk , across the Commonwealth, and round the world”.

Buckingham Palace flag has been lowered down to half-post and a notice has been posted on the gates following the announcement of the duke’s death.

People placed floral tributes outside the palace, while hundreds visited Windsor Castle to pay their respects.

However, the govt urged the general public to not gather or leave tributes at royal residences amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The royalty has asked people to think about making a donation to a charity rather than leaving flowers in memory of the duke, and a web book of condolence has been launched on the official royal website for those that wish to send messages.

A message on the web site of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s non-profit organisation Archewell paid tribute to the “loving memory” of the Duke of Edinburgh, saying: “Thank you for your service… you’ll be greatly missed.”

In further tribute to the duke, Westminster Abbey will toll its tenor bell once every 60 seconds, 99 times, from 18:00 BST on Friday evening.

Considering that some propositions within the book are controversial (such as the differentiation between Jesus and the Christ), The Creative Life is suitable for readers who are interested in knowing the relationship that connects creativity and spirituality. It is recommended that all exercises are done sincerely to acquire the offered benefits and to comprehend the point of view of the author. As far as the drawbacks of The Creative Life are concerned, the author fails to appreciate the fact that every person reading the book is uninventive and uncreative. For the same reason, it becomes rather difficult at many times to follow Butterworth’s actual guidelines. It would have been better if Butterworth had included real-life, common examples to value individual creativity of his readers.

Conclusion

To conclude, Butterworth has been successful in writing a valuable book to inspire people to recognize, acknowledge, and furnish their creative sides.

Divorce is shaky no matter who goes through it. The celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, they not only face the consequences of a divorce but there is extra pressure of Public Scrutiny which complicates the proceedings.

There is a confirmed divorce between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as last month Kim Kardashian officially file for divorce.

Talks about their relationship are on its peak for months after Page Six published a report which revealed that Kim was disappointed with their marriage, ana a divorce is “ready to take place”.

Another source told the outlet, “This divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot. She is serious about taking the bar exams and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her reform campaign. Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy shit, and she is just had enough of it.”

However, for those who heartly supported Kim and Kanye (Kimye), the situation had been calmed down for a while.

In 2019, Kim revealed that she and Kanye prioritize parenting their four kids after Kanye acquire a serious approach and become a Christian.

She said during an episode of “The Talk”, “he is my husband, so I obviously want to honor what he’s feeling, but he’s been going through this life change, and its mostly about the kids.
“The kids are getting older, he is very cautious about what we have in the house – we got rid of the TVs in the Kid’s rooms and remove makeup from North’s room”. She further said, “he’s been very…had this epiphany of…being a little bit stricter as a dad and being very forceful on the imagery that’s in our household and what they see.”

They spent much of their time separately in 2020. Kanye was in Wyoming and Kim was living in LA with their kids. They didn’t even celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas together.

Now Kim has confirmed that there is no ending of the issue, in a new interview she revealed that the last year was “challenging” and she used that time as an opportunity to “cleanse” her entire life.

She told Vogue, “Even though it’s been a challenging year, I think it’s been a time to regenerate, get creative, spend so much time with family. And just this time I’ve been able to spend with my children has been priceless.”

She continued, “I think this year has been so challenging, “But I also think it was a huge cleanse and just a huge opportunity to really be grateful for the simple things.”

She also hinted that spending time with the people who really supported and enhanced her life was her priority.

She explained, “It’s a huge awakening that so many people had, just who you want to spend your time with, the people that you’ll allow into your home, “When we do start to fill our plates back up, I hope we won’t fill them up with things that don’t make us happy.”

Kim gives these comments after it was reported the Kanye had “cut off communications” with Kim and ask her to only contact through security.

A source told Page Six, “Even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, ‘You can contact me through my security, she leaves the house and he arrives and hangs out with the kids. They have an army of nannies so the transition is easy.”

However, it looks like we’re going to get more details about the marriage breakdown and the couple’s divorce.

A source told Page Six in January, “The Kardashians intend to go out with a bang, they’ve filmed Kim discussing her marital problems. But everyone involved is on a nondisclosure agreement, because the finale won’t screen until later in 2021.”

And in as new supertease of the season that was released last week, hysterically crying Kim can be seen in a clip and saying “I feel like a fucking loser” many people are supposing that the clip is pointing towards their divorce.

For them, the meaning of life becomes inappropriate when their existence is at stake and when their life is a mixture of worries and perplexities. On the other hand, people who are not desperate mull over the meaning of life. For desperate people, life is to be lived one moment at a time. However, those who consider the meaning of life as important consider it every day and very well know that they should step back from the moment to see and observe life in a long-range context (Baumeister, 1991). Thus, everyone has a different view of life and its meaning.

Meaning of Life

A person uses meaning when he/she speaks, thinks, decides or plans something. The life does not have a particular meaning in an automatic way. Every individual has to construct his/her own meaning of life. Sometimes people devote their lives to their offspring; some dedicate it to their work or religious faith; some devote it to something else. It is these choices made individually that determine the meaning of life (Baumeister, 1991). In short, the meanings of life do not instigate from a mysterious well set deep inside the soul of an individual. A person acquires and understands this meaning from society, other people or culture. Nature has equipped the Homo sapiens with hunger but not with meanings. It is, thus, the gradual development of meaning that a person has to find within his/her self to live a contented life.

As far as the meaning of life is concerned, one should adopt a hopeful, optimistic and positive approach and life must not be considered as meaningless. One should not consider him/her as a secular saint. Though there are times when life gets tough but it doesn’t mean at all that life is absurd and meaningless. A man can only have a true meaning in life if he/she moulds it according to the wonderful teachings of his/her religion or any other religion that teaches wonderful things about spending one’s life.

God’s will, Happiness and Life

It is important for the people to follow the rules and regulations that comply with God’s will. The God expects his intelligent creation (human beings) to lead a satisfactory life by covering all aspects of it with the purity of heart and mind. The flow of life should be according to the prescribed teachings because no person is allowed to go his/her own way (Kavakci, 2008). It is a crystal-clear fact that everyone yearns for happiness and wants to live a life filled with it. For me, happiness is by every mean is the ultimate goal and the true sign of a life well-lived and this happiness is achieved when there is a meaning in life. Thus, a meaningful life makes a person happy by all means and can truly be considered as a marker of a well-lived life.

There are a number of definitions of happiness. I think that a happy life is one that reflects God’s will. Meaning in life i.e. morality gives a person the ability to determine the good and bad and this clear conscience makes it easier for an individual to live a well-lived life full of satisfaction derived from happiness. To cut a long story short, I think that morality is the main factor that makes it possible for a human being to live a well-lived life with a meaningful purpose (Veenhoven, 2005).

Purpose of Life

Meaningful life usually includes a determined wish to achieve something or a sense of cohesive intention. A good and well-lived life is one that is characterized by meaningful prospects and meaningful actions. Most of the human beings strive really hard to find a genuine purpose in life as a common goal. It is exceedingly necessary to mention here that an individual may have bad and painful experiences but may still hold on to a strong determination and decisiveness about a unified purpose. As far as moral goodness is concerned, one’s life must be devoted to acquire a meaningful purpose especially one by which others get benefitted on an unconditional basis.

Sense of Right and Wrong

Our origin and source of belief is the sole reason of our understanding of right and wrong. What matters is the originality of belief behind it. All morality is dependent on God. This fact has to be understood by us as His servants and followers. Human beings have created and built innumerable institutions to make their fellow beings selfless, noble and altruistic. This could be considered as one of the greatest achievement of humanity. This sense of nobleness is the outcome of our belief in good and bad. Every religion advocates that animalistic natures within an individual  is to be controlled in order to get himself engaged in ethical, just and moral behavior (Wright, 2011).

Money is not the Key

It is a surprising find that happiness has nothing to do with money. Even a surplus amount of money cannot make people happy. It is just a myth that money is the major cause that brings happiness in the lives of people. Very rich and prosperous people have pains that cannot be understood by those who have no means to attain the repute enjoyed by the former. Thus, it depends on the use of the money whether it is a contribution in one’s happiness or unhappiness. Both Aristotle and Aquinas were found to agree “money as an end in itself was dehumanizing” (King & Napa, 1998). Thus, it can be said that it is a favor by God if a person has money in an abundant quantity. It has nothing to do with morality or being good as a person. Thus, good and a well-lived life have nothing to do with monetary benefits attained and enjoyed by any human being. A well-lived life is one wherein a person enjoys the moral goodness, a sense of conscience and “not only the amount of meaningful activity engaged in but also the amount of happiness the person enjoys” (King & Napa, 1998). When money is compared with meaningful purpose, morality and happiness, it can be observed that the former has little value in life.

Conclusion

Thus, there is no secret formula to make sure that one lives a perfect life. There are unlimited opportunities and possibilities for people to attain happiness or other factors they deem important for a well-lived life. This is for the reason that every individual has a dissimilar want, need or wish. However, it is a crystal clear fact (also supported by a number of studies and research) “that the well-lived life is filled with meaning, purpose and engagement, and that when we are connected to others and feel that our lives are connected to a purpose greater than ourselves, we have maximum well-being” (Estrem, 2010).

To cut a long story short, moral values, money and purpose are the three main things that people consider necessary for a meaningful life.
